The Health and Well-Being Pillar

The Health and Well-Being Pillar

The seventh pillar of the 10 pillars that I coach my clients on is the health and well-being pillar.

health/heltth: the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit; the state of being free from illness or injury

well-be·ing: the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy

What is really interesting is that this is an area that looks can be deceiving. Just because someone “looks good” doesn’t mean they have it together.

Challenge yourself to reach true success in this area from the inside out. How do we achieve optimum health and total well-being? First you have to know where you are at.

Take inventory

How healthy are you?  on a scale of one to 10?

How at peace are you with life right now? 1-10?

Where do you want to ultimately be?

Consider this

  • What kind of physical activity are you able to do?
  • How long is your endurance level?
  • What kind of exercise do you like to do and know you’ll do it?
  • How can you start incorporating more activity in your day?
  • What do you need to give up to get healthier?
  • What are you tolerating in your life that is causing you stress?
  • How well do you sleep and what can you do about getting restful sleep?
  • What can you do about your meals and snacks that would be healthier?

Take action

Take 15 minutes to capture all that you are learning about your health and well-being. Sort it out into an order or priority. What 2 things can you implement this week? What 2 more things can you implement the following week? What kind of support system can you put in place to help you be encouraged and have accountability. No go for it, get going, go get ’em. GO!

Tomorrow we go over pillar #8
