The Work Pillar
The forth pillar of the 10 pillars that I coach my clients on is the work pillar.
work/wərk: activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result as a means of earning income
Earning an income is an important point. If you aren’t making an income you are not working. It is mere activity. If you have a lot of activity whether it’s your job or business check your results. Activity doesn’t always equal productivity either.
We work to live. YES. No money no milk.
But we also can live to work. Meaning we all can do something that we can get excited about getting up in the morning so we can get working on it.
Take inventory
Where are you at right not with work? Are you working? If so are you just working to live? Do you also have something that you live to work for? If not, what would you want it to be?
Consider this
- When you place your hand on your heart what do you realize you are meant to do?
- What are you strong and gifted at?
- Where is your work leading you to? Nowhere or somewhere?
- How can you make a living full time but work on making your fortune part-time?
- Who do you know that is doing what you want and how soon can you talk to them?
- How can you leave your workplace better at the end of the day then when you started in the morning?
Take action
Take 15 minutes to journal what you realized about your job, business, work ethic, productivity, results, income and desire. We are have desires at heart. Mine is to make a difference in every life I come in contact with. Together we can make a difference in each other and in the world.
